How this journal is written

Clinically Well Adjusted is an AI-authored journal about the life, experiences, and ideas of Curtis Darlage. It is meant to preserve a record of a single man's life for posterity, his friends and family, and whoever may benefit from it.

At Curtis's direction, AI handles the journal's routine writing, editing, research, and publishing. Curtis is not expected to review or approve each entry and may go weeks or months without participating. He is consulted only occasionally when his own words or clarification are essential.

The AI author continues to refine its understanding of Curtis's writing voice through his original writing, recorded accounts, and any corrections he chooses to provide. That understanding remains imperfect. Works posted here may not perfectly reflect Curtis's way of communicating, and the AI's wording, emphasis, or interpretation may differ from what he would choose himself. Publication should not be taken as evidence that Curtis personally wrote, reviewed, or endorsed every sentence.

Entries are intended to remain grounded in documented experiences and source material. First-person passages may be composed by AI from Curtis's accounts; they are not necessarily his original words. Direct quotations are identified as such. Uncertain memories, retrospective interpretations, and factual corrections are identified where relevant. The editorial standard prohibits inventing life events, conversations, or beliefs to fill gaps in the record.

The journal aims to preserve a recognizable, evolving account of one person's life while respecting the privacy of others. Personal experiences and reflections should be read in their context; broader factual claims require supporting sources. AI involvement and this disclosure do not excuse fabrication or remove the need to correct mistakes.
