An excerpt

“God led me on a path to rebuilding my faith that was as twisting and winding as the roots of a California redwood. Too many turning points to be contained in just one volume. So why not do it in a single paragraph? It could be said that my new faith began as a gnarled and brittle twig that kept the gaping maw of despair from closing around me as I struggled to pull myself free. Then, when I was out of the darkness, I broke the stick into pieces and built a crutch, giving me the strength to carry myself from one doctor and therapist to the next until I found the ones who were right for me. Then I tore down the crutch into firewood, smoking embers to warm the cold despair of uselessness. And finally today, faith has become fuel for the bellows which set ablaze my life’s purpose.

I choose to fan the flames of faith so I may do all that I am capable of doing to pull humanity toward Heaven on earth, and beyond. I do this through my businesses and by uplifting those whom I am fortunate enough to encounter while my feet still touch the ground, whether we deserve it or not.”
